The participants of the event pursued several goals - the main one related to the further employment of foreign graduates of the ROSATOM flagship universities in partner countries. Other goals were no less important, i.e. to build an open dialogue with potential employers, to discuss the possibilities to develop career trajectories for students in the framework of the implementation of national atomic projects.
After the official part of the event, the participants were split into working groups by regions of ROSATOM presence. Within the groups the representatives of JSC Rusatom Overseas, JSC Atomstroyexport, JSC Rusatom Energo International and JSC Rusatom Service spoke about the status of NPP and CNST construction projects, and employers from partner countries presented the employment prospects for the foreign specialists.
The representatives of Rusatom Service JSC, due to their extensive practical experience in the field of nuclear infrastructure (NI) assessment, also had something to share with the students - the latter were really interested to learn firsthand about the assessment of the personnel needs of nuclear infrastructure personnel in Bangladesh and Egypt. Cooperation on projects in Zambia, Bolivia, Uzbekistan and other countries was not spared either. Speaking about the areas of NI, the speakers recalled a wide range of opportunities for further employment in the organizations of the industry, emphasizing the current program of cooperation with students of MEPhI University in the field of NI.
Curator of the program on cooperation with MEPhI on the part of Rusatom Service JSC, Yulia Chernyakhovskaya, Deputy General Director for Nuclear Infrastructure, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Management in Industry of MEPhI, Ph.D. noted: “The history of our active cooperation with MEPhI has more than one year. Within this period we have managed to implement high-quality work with foreign students. They got a unique opportunity to undergo pre-diploma practice in our division, get acquainted with the specifics of NI activities, and practically experience what the nuclear infrastructure is. Nuclear infrastructure projects, in which we involve young talents, are designed to maximize the potential of each of them, deepen their core competencies and endow them with new ones.
As a result, most of them affirm their desire to continue developing in this direction - here, in Russia, or homeland. This, of course, makes us very happy, especially in the context of the sectoral task of forming a human-centered training system”.
JSC RusAtom Service is part of the electric power division of the Rosatom State Corporation. The company provides a full range of services and supplies to foreign nuclear power plants with VVER required for operation and repair.
